Everyone knows that they have to drink water. Your body is made up of a huge percent of water. Without it we’d all die. Okay, good, you know the basics.
What are the facts about this whole water thing? Did you know that not only does it help all of your organs work properly, it also makes you look younger and more attractive? Yes, water does all that. But in order for water to do it’s job, you have to drink plenty of it. This means one ounce for every pound of body weight EVERY day. I know it’s a lot. Start off slowly by adding 2 glasses of water a day to your diet until you work up to the right amount. Be sure to consume it over the entire time you’re awake. Drinking too much in a short amount of time can be harmful.
If you’re talking about your inside body functions water can keep blood pressure from dropping too low, help prevent blood clots, keep the kidneys working in proper order and help you avoid being constipated. Water aids the digestive system, helps rid your body of toxic elements and cushions your joints. It can even help boost immune systems, prevent dehydration, balance metabolism rates and maintain your body temperature. Not to mention, water is an absolute nessecity while working out, many companies have even come out with fancy running gadgets to help you stay hydrated while on the go!
I did mention that water makes you look better. Drinking the right amount everyday help your organs which helps your hair become silkier and shinier. Your skin clears up of acne and redness because of proper kidney function. It may even look younger. Even your fingernails will be stronger and less brittle. Your hair and nails may even grow faster as a result of being healthier overall. Consider drinking water as a way to turn back time without the high cost. If you just can’t seem to drink one more ounce because of the taste then add in a squeeze of lemon or lime juice to change things up. It may not seem like much but it’s amazing how much you’ll notice once you aren’t drinking all of those carbonated beverages.
