Growing your own produce is the healthiest way to go

Eating healthily can sometimes be pretty expensive. Fresh fruits and vegetables are not cheap. A great way to save money is to grow a garden. You do not need a lot of space to grow a garden, even businesses are starting to do this, and I know that Looe Hotel is proud to serve locally grown produce during breakfast. At home, you can grow a small garden on your patio or out of your window. Cucumbers are very easy to grow and do not require a lot of know how. If you have never grown any vegetables you can get starter plants at your local greenhouse. They will have already been started and will then just need to be replanted into larger containers or into the ground.

Another option when you are trying to start growing vegetables at home is a Topsy Turvy. These allow you to grow tomatoes or strawberries from a hanging bag. You can purchase them anywhere. The fact that they are a bag gives you the advantage of being able to have them just about anywhere. You put the started plants into a bag type of thing that has holes. The plants stick out of the holes. After you have added the plats to the bag you need to add potters soil. There is now soil available that has moisture control and keeps your plants full of moisture longer. You will save a lot of money by growing your own tomatoes and strawberries.

Unlike other plants cucumbers, tomatoes, and strawberries do not require a lot of maintenance. Once you plant them they grow on their own as long as you water them. Within a few weeks of planting them you should be able to enjoy fresh vegetables and fruit. You will know that you are getting pesticide free produce that was home grown and will take pride in the fact that you grew them yourself. They will be delicious and wonderful.
