Weather Or Not - It’s True.

Weather Or Not - It's True.

Have you ever noticed just how big an effect the weather has on us all? Most of us have heard of the mood disorder called S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) where bad weather can bring about serious bouts of depression.

(Note: - This condition should not be confused with SAD (Serious Attitude Deficiency) which causes sufferers to wear hoodies, listen to crap music at a ridiculously loud volume and go around causing various types of agro.)

However, ill effects of the weather are not always as extreme as they are for people who have been diagnosed with S.A.D. According to triple west medical, and well, life experience, many of us will feel a lot happier on a bright, sunny day than on a grey and overcast one. Okay, so the cold can make us feel miserable, but it runs far deeper than that.

There is something within us all that responds strongly to certain weather conditions; and this can be physically as well as psychologically. On a grim and wet day we will often feel lethargic and have a lack of interest in many things. If the sun is out and the sky is full of fluffy white clouds, then we are much more likely to feel energetic and motivated.

On a physical level, we are affected in a number of different ways. A lot of people will develop a headache when thunder is close by. Perhaps this is the equivalent of many animals behaving strangely in the lead-up to a storm. The damp air can make our bones ache; especially if we suffer from arthritis or a similar joint condition.

Yes, the weather has an awful lot to answer for; and who knows what else is linked to it that we still don’t understand? It may sound a little far-fetched, but we know for a fact that the moon has an effect on people, just like it does with the waves…
